Monilla appointed as new TRADOC chief

MANILA –The Capas-based Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) was appointed a new commanding officer in the person of Brig. Gen. Casiano C. Monilla Saturday.

Monilla replaced Major Gen. Herminigildo Francisco C. Aquino who was promoted to head the Command and General Staff College in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Army commander Lt. Gen. Glorioso Miranda served as the presiding officer and guest-of-honor in the change-of-command ceremony held at the TRADOC Grandstand in Camp O’Donnell, Capas.

During the ceremony, Aquino received a command plaque from Miranda for his excellent generalship, leadership and management as 50th TRADOC commander.

He also received a Distinguished Conduct Star for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered in a position of major responsibility.

Monilla is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1984.
