No travel restrictions in Paris, Filipinos to practice vigilance and caution after the attacks
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – The Philippine Embassy in France urges Filipinos who are in Paris or planning to go to the French capital should soon practice vigilance and caution after last Friday’s terror attacks. However, there are no travel restrictions posted in the place.
The Philippine Embassy is asking the Filipinos to monitor the news and official French government advisories for the updates on the attacks.
“Everyone is requested to exercise vigilance and caution and to be aware of their surroundings, with the view to ensuring their personal security,” the embassy said.
Series of mass shooting, suicide bombing and hostage taking was held in Paris on Friday night leaving 129 dead people and over 300 injured.
French President Francois Hollande vowed that France will going to be “ruthless” in attacking the ISIS who claimed the responsibility in the deadliest attacks in Paris since World War II.
“We have not received any information on Filipinos living here who are adversely affected by the restrictions of the French government due to the attacks,” said Philippines’ Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Victoria Bataclan.
