Claudine Barretto on failed marriage: ‘I think rebound kasi’

MANILA – Kapamilya actress Claudine Barretto admitted that one of the reasons why her marriage with now estranged husband Raymart Santiago did not work was because she was not fully ready to enter a relationship when they became a couple.

Claudine recalled feeling remorseful and having difficulty moving on from her relationship with actor Rico Yan, who died of cardiac arrest in 2002.

“I think rebound kasi,” the actress told host Kris Aquino in “Kris TV.

“I was so sad. I was so broken. Tapos (then) there was somebody who was there, parang knight in shining armor… I played safe,” she added.

Claudine later on ended her 12-year-marriage with Raymart when she felt like she could no longer give.
