CPD Seminar: Overview of the New Refugee Determination Process

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Ashton College is proud to announce that we will be hosting a CPD on the topic of Overview of the New Refugee Determination Process. The Continuing Professional Development seminar will be hosted by Lynn A. Fournier-Ruggles, BA, MPPAL.

Ms. Fournier-Ruggles is a Professor and author. She currently teaches in the School of Legal and Public Administration, Faculty of Business, at Seneca College of Applied Arts in Toronto, Ontario where she has been teaching in the Paralegal and Court and Tribunal Administration Programs since 2001.  Her areas of specialization include Canadian immigration & refugee law, administrative law, court & tribunal administration, and public administration.

The seminar will take place in the Library Square Conference Centre on May 3, 2014 form 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Ms. Fournier-Ruggles will cover topics including, the fundamental cornerstones of refugee determination, case differentiation: DCO and DFN claims, and preparing for a hearing before the Refugee Protection Division.

This CPD seminar has been approved for 5.5 hours by ICCRC and The Law Society of British Columbia. The seminar costs $240.00 and will be available in-class as well as through live-stream.
