Rain remains even as Falcon exits PH

MANILA — The country will continue to experience monsoon rain even as Typhoon “Falcon” (International name: Chan-hom) moved out the Philippine area of responsibility.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that Falcon was last spotted 675 kilometers northeast of Itbayat in Batanes.

It moves move northwest at 22 kph packed with 160 kilometers per hour near the center with gusts of up to 195 kph.

Despite its exit, the state weather bureau still warned against flashfloods and landslides which may be caused by southwest monsoon in Luzon and western Visayas.

Slight to heavy rain may be observed in Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Mimaropa.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will also be observed over the rest of the country.
