John Lloyd dismayed over of his film in MMFF
MANILA — Actor John Lloyd Cruz expressed his sadness following the sidelining of his film in the line-up of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
His film, “Conman” was directed by Erick Matti and was listed as one of the reserved films just in case one entry backs out.
In an interview aired on Aquino & Abunda Tonight on Thursday, Cruz said that he felt dismayed that the film was not given a chance to be included in the festival.
“Sayang and ang hinahanap ko rin do’n is mabigyan ng chance ‘yong mga ganitong klaseng pelikula na mai-showcase din sa gano’n season,” he said.
(I was eyeing for the movie to be given to be showcase in that kind of season.)
The actor added that he believes that the festival is for all types of films.
“Kasi I believe ang MMFF is para sa lahat ng pelikula, e, hindi lang naman sa siguradong blockbuster or tumatabo sa takilya,” he added.
(I believe that MMFF is for all types of films not just for the blockbuster-hit movies.)
