RICHMOND, British Columbia — Behind every successful business are setbacks, difficult decisions and lessons that rarely make it into the spotlight.

On October 22, Fuckup Nights Vancouver will bring those stories to the stage in Richmond, giving entrepreneurs and business professionals an opportunity to speak candidly about failure, resilience and the realities of building a career or business.

Organized by Business Network Media, the event will be held at Work Commons from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature three speakers sharing lessons shaped by their professional and personal experiences.

Part of the global Fuckup Nights movement, the event offers a different take on traditional business networking. Rather than focusing solely on achievements and success stories, speakers are encouraged to talk openly about setbacks, decisions that did not go as planned and what they learned from those experiences.

Meet the speakers

The Richmond event will feature Calli Jensen, Kris Yong and Allan Galang, whose backgrounds span entrepreneurship, business development and personal coaching.

Calli Jensen, founder and CEO of Our Beauty Referral Network, has spent more than 20 years helping businesses build connections through networking events, partnerships and community initiatives.

A five-time bestselling author, Jensen has organized more than 250 conferences, retreats, fashion shows and other business events. She now leads a technology-driven referral marketing platform serving businesses in the beauty, wellness, health and lifestyle sectors.

Jensen also works as a project manager for a beauty and cosmetic distribution company, coordinating product development and manufacturing projects in Canada and the United States.

Kris Yong, founder of The Trading Gallery, brings experience from the trading card and collectibles industry. His company focuses on e-commerce, product innovation and community-building within the growing collectibles market.

Allan Galang, founder of Mind Edge Method, is a mindset and emotional performance coach who works with professionals seeking to better understand the emotional patterns that influence their decisions, relationships and careers.

Galang’s work is also informed by his personal experience overcoming addiction and rebuilding his life following significant personal loss. Drawing from more than 15 years of lived experience and coaching insight, his work focuses on emotional resilience, self-awareness and personal growth.

Conversations beyond the success story

Fuckup Nights Vancouver aims to challenge the perception that professional success follows a smooth or predictable path.

Through candid storytelling, the event gives speakers room to discuss failed decisions, unexpected obstacles and difficult turning points that often remain outside conventional success stories.

For entrepreneurs and professionals, the conversations offer a chance to learn from the experiences of others while connecting with people who understand the uncertainty, pressure and risk that can come with building a business or career.

Rather than presenting polished accounts of success, the evening is designed around the lessons that emerge when plans fall apart — and the decisions people make afterward.

Event details and registration

Fuckup Nights Vancouver will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Work Commons in Richmond, British Columbia.

Attendance is limited to 80 seats, according to event information from organizer Business Network Media.

More information and registration are available through the event’s official Eventbrite page:

By putting setbacks at the center of the conversation, Fuckup Nights Vancouver offers a reminder that failure is often part of the journey — and that some of the most valuable business lessons come from what did not go according to plan.
