SURREY, British Columbia — A new REACH Centre for Autism is expected to open in Surrey’s Newton area in early 2027, expanding access to autism and developmental services for local children and families.
The centre will operate from a city-owned building at 7010 King George Boulevard, which the City of Surrey is leasing to REACH Child and Youth Development Society for $1 per year for five years.
The new facility is expected to offer a range of services, including autism assessments, speech and occupational therapy, counselling, parent support and assistance connecting families with other programs and resources.
The centre is part of Surrey’s effort to improve access to developmental and family services in Newton, where demand for autism-related supports continues to grow.
REACH Child and Youth Development Society has long provided services to children and families across the South Fraser region. The Newton location will give the organization a dedicated Surrey space to deliver assessment, therapy and family support closer to residents.
The centre is expected to begin operations in early 2027, with preparations underway ahead of opening.
