Why Pia Guanio left ’24 Oras’
MANILA — Pia Guanio explained why she’s saying goodbye to being the segment host for 24 Oras’ Chika Minute, the showbiz segment of the GMA primetime newscast.
Pia said she wants to focus on his husband Steve Mago and her daughter Scarlet, who will now be going to school.
“Scarlet is two years old and she will start school in Alabang already.
If I keep 24 Oras, we won’t see each other anymore and I can’t bear that. She needs guidance,” Pia told Funfare.
The GMA network, meanwhile, released their official statement on Pia’s leaving the show.
“After 11 years at the forefront of showbiz news, Pia Guanio has decided to say goodbye to Chika Minute on 24 Oras.
Pia decided to let go of her anchoring duties on 24 Oras to prioritize family life and raising her daughter.
