MANILA, Philippines — Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines David Hartman engaged in a dialogue with Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Sen. Erwin Tulfo on Wednesday to bolster the relationship between Canada and the Philippines.
“Canada values our growing partnership with the Philippines, including expanding trade ties and the strong people-to-people connections between our countries,” the embassy said in a post.
“We look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.”
In a separate post, Tulfo expressed his delight in hosting Hartman’s courtesy visit to the Senate and their discussion that ranged over various topics that will benefit the bilateral relations.
Tulfo said he and Hartman talked about trade opportunities, people-to-people ties, and defense and maritime cooperation, including commercial and defense aircraft.
