Door Is Open 2025: UPAABC calls for support, donations

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The University of the Philippines Alumni Association in British Columbia (UPAABC) is preparing for its annual “Door Is Open” outreach in Downtown Eastside, and is asking for everyone’s kind help and generosity for this holiday season!

The UPAABC’s outreach this year aims to feed 150 homeless people in the area, and they are humbly asking for support through in-kind or monetary donations.

The volunteer-driven outreach is scheduled to take place at 255 Dunlevy Ave, Vancouver, British Columbia, on December 28, 2025.

“This year, we aim to bring joy to 150 people through giving and serving,” the group said. “With a $15 donation, you can provide a blessing bag and a hot meal to someone in need. Help us make this a reality!”
