18 JULY 2025, Ottawa – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa welcomes the arrival of Ms. Mylhyn M. Acosta who joins the Embassy as Second Secretary and Consul in charge of the Consular Section. Before her assignment to Canada, Ms. Acosta served as Acting Director at the DFA Office of American Affairs, overseeing the U.S. and Central America Divisions, respectively.
Ms. Acosta previously served at the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. as Vice Consul and then Consul, and handled administrative and consular operations. Consul Acosta succeeds Consul Leo Marco Vidal who completed his tour of duty in Canada on 18 July 2025.
