Dong and Marian expecting first child

MANILA — Dingdong Dantes confirmed that Marian Rivera is pregnant with their first child.

Dingdong also posted a photo of him and Marian during their wedding.

“We are extremely grateful because the greatest gift called life has already been bestowed upon us by God. In behalf of my wife, and our coming baby, we thank all those who prayed for, and with us. Faith really has its way of fulfilling lifelong dreams. #ParentsInTheMaking,” Dingdong wrote.

In an interview aired on GMA 7’s 24 Oras, Dingdong also confirmed the pregnancy adding that it was planned.

“Iyon din po ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit kami nagpursige na magpakasal – to really build a family. At alam naman namin na ang pagkakaroon ng anak ay isa sa mga mahalagang bagay para sa isang pamilya. Magmula noon, ipinagdasal na po namin na ibigay sa amin, na ibibigay po sa tamang panahon,” he said.

(That is also one of the reasons why we decided to get married – to really build a family. And we know that having a child is one of the most important for a family. Even before, we’ve prayed for it, that it will be given to us at the right time.)

Marian also shared that she has been craving for candies.

“Noong isang araw, ang hinahanap ko, White Rabbit, iyong candy na puti. Tapos noong isang araw, Haw Haw, candy parin, kulay puti parin,” Marian said. “Puro puti ang hinahanap ko, hindi ko alam kung bakit. Tapos ayaw ko rin po nung amoy na sobrang tapang, medyo nahihilo po ako.”

(The other day, I was looking for White Rabbit, the white candy. And then the other day, Haw Haw, also white candy. It’s all white I am looking for and I don’t know why. And I don’t like strong scents, I get dizzy.)

“Ang pinaka aasam-asam kong biyaya ay ipinagkaloob na sa amin- ang pangarap kong maging isang ina. Hindi na ako makapag hintay na makita at mayakap ang aming munting anghel. Salamat Panginoon sa pinakamalaking biyayang ito. Walang kapantay na ligaya, at walang hanggang pasasalamat. At sa lahat ng mga taong nag mamahal at nag dadasal para sa biyayang ito maraming salamat!,” Marian wrote.

(The greatest blessing has finally been given to us – my dream of becoming a mother. I cannot wait to see and hug our little angel. Thank you God for the big blessing you gave. There is not enough happiness and thanks. And to those who love and prayed for this blessing, Thank you so much.)

The couple got married at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cubao last December 30.
