Dagupan, other towns of Pangasinan to experience nine-hour electric interruption
DAGUPAN CITY — A wide area in Pangasinan, including Dagupan City, will be affected by a nine-hour power interruption from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, according to an announcement of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Reason for the electric interruption is the annual preventive maintenance and testing of 100MVA power transformer and its associated equipment at NGCP’s Labrador (Pangasinan) substation; line maintenance along the Labrador-Calasiao and Labrador-Bolinao 69kV line; and testing of metering equipment at Dagupan Electric Corporation (Decorp’s) Dagupan substation.
Distribution utilities that will shut down as a result of these activities include the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) Labrador substation; Pangasinan Electric Cooperative I substations in Alaminos, Dasol, Bani and Bolinao; and Decorp’s substations in Calasiao and Dagupan.
Areas affected by the nine-hour power interruptions include: Labrador, Sual, Alaminos, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Agno, Bani, Anda, Bolinao, Calasiao, Sta.
Barbara, and Dagupan City.
