MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. saw a modest increase in satisfaction and trust ratings in November, while Vice President Sara Duterte experienced a slight dip in both metrics, according to a survey conducted by Tangere released on Tuesday.

The survey, conducted from Nov. 19 to 22, showed Marcos’ satisfaction rating rising to 47.3 percent from 46.9 percent in October, while his trust rating climbed slightly to 59.6 percent from 59.3 percent.

The trust and approval gains, according to Tangere, were driven by respondents from Northern Luzon and Central Luzon, particularly among younger demographics aged 18 to 45.

However, dissatisfaction and distrust remained pronounced in the Davao Region and Northern Mindanao, especially among those aged 51 and above.

Vice President Sara Duterte, on the other hand, saw her satisfaction rating slip to 47.5 percent from 48 percent, and her trust rating decline to 55.5 percent from 56 percent.

Tangere said the Vice President continues to leverage on strong support from Mindanao, where trust and satisfaction are the highest.

Her dissatisfaction rating inched up from 35.9 percent to 36.5 percent, while her distrust rating rose to 26.5 percent from 25 percent.

Respondents from Central Luzon, Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Bicol were the primary drivers of the increases in her dissatisfaction and trust ratings.

House of Representatives Speaker Martin Romualdez also saw slight gains in November, with satisfaction increasing from 46.8 percent to 47.3 percent and trust rising from 57 percent to 57.4 percent.

The positive shift was attributed to respondents from Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Eastern Visayas.

However, dissatisfaction and distrust remained elevated in the Davao Region and Northern Mindanao, as well as for respondents aged 51 and above.

Senate President Chiz Escudero continued to hold the highest ratings among the country’s top officials.

His satisfaction rating stood at 52.5 percent, while his trust rating reached 61.3 percent.

Escudero also maintained the lowest levels of dissatisfaction and distrust across all regions and demographics.

Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, meanwhile, remained at the bottom of the list with the lowest satisfaction and trust ratings, according to the pollster.

His performance struggles were linked to low awareness levels, particularly among respondents from socio-economic classes D and E.

The Tangere survey was administered via a mobile-based application to a sample of 2,000 respondents, using a stratified random sampling method. It has a margin of error of ±2.2 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.

Tangere specializes in technology-driven data collection to capture Filipino sentiments.

It is a member of the Marketing and Opinion Research Society of the Philippines (MORES) and other leading industry groups.
