Comelec bids out P588M contract for election supplies

MANILA — To supply election results transmission solutions and management services, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is bidding out a P588-million contract.

Comelec’s Bids and Awards Committee has published an invitation to bid calling on all interested parties.

It has noted that interested applicants for the bid are required to have completed a similar contract in the past five years.

The committee also emphasized that it will automatically reject any bid that is in excess of the approved budget.

Bid documents can now be purchased by interested bidders for P75,000 at the BAC office on the 7th floor of the Palacio del Gobernador building in Intramuros, Manila.

The documents can be purchased until March 2.

BAC also announced the schedule of the pre-conference which will be held on Feb. 17 at the Comelec session hall.

The pre-conference will tackle the eligibility requirements and the technical components of the project.
