MANILA – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday reminded operators of public utility vehicles (PUV) about the consolidation deadline on April 30 set by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

In a statement, LTFRB Chair Teofilo Guadiz III said the extension on consolidation granted by the President would be the last.

“Come April 30, we will no longer allow those who did not consolidate to ply the routes of Metro Manila,” Guadiz said.

PUV operators who fail to consolidate will have their franchises revoked by the LTFRB.

PUV consolidation, he said, is the first phase of the PUV modernization program (PUVMP) and would be followed by fleet management as the second phase.
