Some of the comments were directed specifically at Nepinak and suggested he wanted to “get his hands” on other people’s money.

The Winnipeg School Division has not publicly identified the teacher or the teacher’s school.

Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs Grand Chief Derek Nepinak filed a lawsuit against Badiuk earlier this month alleging defamation against an entire race of people.

The Manitoba Teachers’ Society would not comment Wednesday on the change from paid to unpaid leave.
