Jinggoy is Juan Ng says AMLC report
MANILA – The signature and handwriting of detained Sen. Jinggoy Estrada was “very similar” to the handwriting of “Juan Ng,” prompting the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to claim that Estrada and Ng are one and the same.
AMLC noted that the senator has three bank accounts under Ng’s name. The money that goes directly to the said bank accounts were said to be the senator’s kickback from his pork barrel.
The use of dummies by Estrada greatly reminded the public of the “Jose Velarde” account which was the very reason why his father, ex-President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada was convicted of punder.
According to the AMLC report, the signatures for the bank transactions of Estrada are reminiscent of the senator’s own handwriting. The AMLC also mentioned that Estrada was able to receive P157.6 million in “commissions or rebates” under the bogus foundations of pork barrel queen Janet Lim-Napoles.
“Considering all the foregoing, there are indications of money laundering scheme using bank accounts,” the AMLC said in its 90-page report.
It added, “There is, however, a need to conduct further investigation to determine the extent of the subject’s participation and identify the other monetary instruments that were possibly involved in the laundering scheme.”
The AMLC team, spearheaded by Orlando Negradas Jr., discovered that the signature of the check’s were actually the senator’s handwriting.
