Vancouver Sun Run
April 27, 9:00am
The Vancouver Sun Run celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2014. Encouraging walkers and runners of all skill levels, the event attracts nearly 50,000 participants annually. The Sun Run is Canada’s biggest 10-kilometre road race and third largest timed 10-kilometre event in the world. The scenic route begins downtown at Burrard and Georgia streets, winds through Vancouver’s downtown core and finishes at BC Place Stadium.

Eco Fashion Week
April 27 to 29
Eco Fashion Week returns for its eighth season with green style seminars and glamorous runway shows. Taking place at venues throughout downtown Vancouver, the event features an all-star line-up of well-known local designers (including Nicole Bridger, John Fluevog and Obakki), the debut of spring collections, stylish soirees and more. Full event schedule coming soon.

Spot Prawn Festival
May 8
The Chefs’ Table Society of BC proudly presents the eighth annual Spot Prawn Festival, a celebration of one of the region’s most prized and sustainable seafoods. Taking place at False Creek’s Fisherman’s Wharf, the festival features top local chefs, cooking demos, live entertainment, local wines and a mouthwatering spot prawn boil.
