MANILA – Christmas came early for a bettor in Metro Manila who became an instant millionaire after bagging the jackpot of the Super Lotto 6/49 draw on Sunday night.
In an advisory Monday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the bettor guessed the winning combination of 05-42-40-03-25-35 which carried a total jackpot prize of PHP 63,013,007.
The ticket was purchased in Valenzuela City.
The bettor can claim the check at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City upon presentation of the winning ticket and two identification cards.
Lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20 percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
Meanwhile, 26 other bettors guessed five out of the six two-digit winning combinations and won PHP50,000 each, the PCSO said.
About 1,164 bettors got PHP1,200 each for getting four of the winning combinations while 21,025 bettors won PHP50 each for guessing three right combinations.
Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.
The 6/49 Super Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot is estimated to climb up to PHP302 million for Tuesday night’s draw.
The state lottery agency said there was no winner of the PHP293 million jackpot in Sunday night’s draw, which yielded a winning combination of 36-38-29-07-45-12.
However, PCSO said there were 21 bettors who came very close to hitting the jackpot, correctly guessing five of the six-digit winning combination, and each winning PHP120,000 while 1,281 will get PHP2,000 each for four correct digits, and 30,829 will settle for PHP100 each for three correct digits.
The Ultra Lotto 6/58 is drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
The public is encouraged to keep on patronizing the products of PCSO as a large chunk of its revenues goes to charity programs.
