Over 1,000 passengers still stranded in various ports due to “Ruby”

MANILA — Over 1,000 passengers remain stranded in various ports in the country due to typhoon “Ruby”, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Monday as of 2 p.m.

On its official Facebook account, PCG said that there were a total of 1,953 passengers, 74 vessels, four motor bancas and 429 rolling cargoes that remain stranded.

A breakdown of those stranded include:

National Capital Region – Central Luzon with total of 340 passengers and two vessels were stranded in the National Capital Region;

Palawan, with 30 passengers, 14 vessels and two motor bancas;

Northern Mindanao with 140 passengers;

Bicol with 363 passengers, 32 vessels and 59 rolling cargoes;

Eastern Visayas with 127 passengers, one vessel and 76 rolling cargoes;

Southern Tagalog with 662 passengers and 273 rolling cargoes;

Western Visayas with 620 passengers, 30 vessels, one motor banca and 238 rolling cargoes.
