DepEd eyes full F2F classes by November: PBBM
MANILA — Vice President and Education chief Sara Duterte plans to implement full face-to-face classes by November, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said on Tuesday.
In a press briefing, he said Duterte announced her plan during their first executive meeting.
“First example of that, was Inday Sara’s announcement that we have a plan for full face-to-face classes by November, this year, September we will start a phased face-to-face schooling and with that, face-to-face will end up, in early November as already 100 percent attendance ng mga bata (of the children),” he said.
However, Marcos said they will be encouraging booster vaccination, especially among the youth, to combat the increasing threat of less harmful, yet more contagious Omicron variants.
On Tuesday, the Department of Health (DOH) gave the green light on the booster shots for ages 12 to 17 years old.
Former Education secretary Leonor Briones, meanwhile, assured earlier that vaccination against Covid-19 will not be made mandatory for learners nationwide.
Briones also made it clear that for schools to qualify for face-to-face classes, they must comply with measures by the DOH.
These include parental consent, DOH health assessment, and the go-signal from the local government unit.
As of mid-June, around 38,000 schools nationwide are nominated for face-to-face classes.

I hope Deped is prepared enough kung sakaling magiging face to face na talaga ang klase, sana Well planned and organized para smooth yung transition ng mode of delivery kasi malaking adjustments iyo sa mga learners especially sa mga nursery and elementary level.

Yes to face to face but no to discrimination of vaccinated and unvaccinated.
𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝟭𝟭𝟱𝟮𝟱: “vaccine cards shall not be considered as an additional mandatory requirement for EDUCATIONAL, employment, and other similar government transactions.”
To DEPED Sec. Please tell the education department to ban youth from using tiktok and make them focus more on spelling, history and culture

This is heart I must say.I think tha t the previous administration would have wanted tricycle drivers to be included in the subsidy but then we are battling financial crisis due to the pandemic. At this point time, our economy though still struggling is slowly improving it’s phase,I hope that the new president will be able to deliver what ever good things he comes into mind considering the insufficiency of gov’t funds.May he find that “money” as he says, hopefully for the benefit of our fellow men.

I agree to a face-to-face schooling but not a mandatory vaccination especially among those with health issues. For me, I cannot compromise on the health of my children at young age.

OO TOTOO NA MAGANDA TALAGA ANG FACE 2 FACE CLASS. BUT ON THE CONTRARY, AS A STUDENT AS LONG AS MAY THREAT PA NG COVID,I WOULD RATHER STAY IN THE HOUSE MUNA. HEALTH IS WEALTH AND KNOWING NA MAY COVID PARIN PLUS SOME STUDENTS OR EVEN SOME TEACHERS AREN’T VACCINATED TOO UNTIL NOW,MY HEALTH MIGHT BE AT RISK. I WILL RATHER CHOOSE DISTANCE LEARNING.

Please don’t discriminate the unvaccinated let us respect their own rights.

This is goodnews. I have an incoming highschool student, and I am looking forward for face to face classes. At long last. Sa dalawang school year na online class sobrang naapektuhan ang eyesight nya kaka tutok sa gadget and she is now wearing a prescription glasses so as a parent myself I am for face to face classes dahil iba pa din talaga ang face to face interactions sa school.

Yay, finally after so many years.

The news of having the full face to face classes is really a great one. We can’t deny the fact that during the 2 years of experiencing the backlash of the Pandemic the quality of education became difficult to achieved especially to those students who’s just started their journey. The knowledge they needed for that certain age wasn’t able to be given to them as there is no proper way of teaching and educating the children. Face to face classes can also the lessen the stress not just of the students but also of the parents and teachers, as this would be more convenient for them. It’s really good that we are finally going back to the normal little by little as this will also help the economy of our country but also we should take note that we’re still suffering Pandemic so better make sure to always use face mask and follows rules nd protocols to assure our safety.
