Celebrate the season at Steveston’s Winter Tram
Visitors of all ages are invited to embrace the spirit of the season at The Winter Tram event taking place at the Steveston Interurban Tram Building on Dec. 6 from noon to 3:30 p.m.
Special guest, Santa Claus, will be greeting children and hearing all of their wishes. If talking to Santa is not enough, children can also write a letter to him and post it at the building. There will be winter tram crafts for the young or young at heart to make and take home.
The Polar Express, the classic children’s story book about one boy’s train ride to the North Pole to visit Santa, will be read throughout the afternoon. Members of the Richmond Orchestra and Chorus will stroll around the site singing traditional carols, and visitors can warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and treats.
The Steveston Interurban Tram Building is located at 4011 Moncton Street, Richmond. Admission is free and donations are always welcome.
