Gov’t eyes nationwide Alert Level 1 before status downgrade
MANILA – All areas in the country must be placed under Alert Level 1 before the government could impose a lower status of Covid-19 risk classification, a health official said Wednesday.
During a Palace briefing, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the government is looking forward to having all provinces, highly-urbanized cities and independent component cities under Alert Level 1.
“‘Pag pinag-usapan natin ‘yung susunod na level pagkatapos ng Alert Level 1, ‘yan po ay pag-uusapan ‘di (When we talk about the next level after Alert Level 1, that will be considered, not) per area but for the country already,” she added.
Vergeire clarified that Alert Level 0 is “not a formal term and not an official term yet” by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
Earlier, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said the IATF is studying Alert Level 0 and whether health protocols like wearing of face mask would stay as the threat of Covid-19 continues.
Vergeire noted that discussions on further easing of restrictions and refocusing of resources would start when all areas nationwide are under Alert Level 1.
She said the government would review whether dedicated hospital beds for Covid-19 cases, quarantine facilities in local government units and testing surveillance are still needed.
The National Capital Region and 47 other areas have been placed under Alert Level 1 from March 16 to March 31.

Super excited here na bumalik na tayo sa Normal, not totally na we can do all the things like before, but atleast diba ma lelessen yung restrictions. After all, ang gusto lang naman natin makipag socialize para di tayo malungkot or mafeel natin na wala tayong kasama to conquer all the problems here sa mundo. God bless everyone and keep safe po!

After election i expecting the increase of covid 19, as usual hehe. Why are government talking about the Alert level why they dont do actions to totally we go to alert zero.

Sana magtuloy tuloy na maging maluwag at mawala ang mga restriction lalo sa mga lowrisk area.Kaukulang pag iingat pa rin nating mga mamamayan ang kailangan para tuluyan ng mawala ang banta ng Covid19 dito sa ating bansa at maging sa buong mundo.Wag pa rin natin kalimutan ang mga ipinatupad na health protocol kase para din naman sa kapakanan at kaligtasan ng bawat isa sa atin lalo na ng ating mga pamilya.

It is great so as to start again and gain earnings for those who are hardly affected by pandemic but we must be mindful and don’t let our guard down,still follow health protocols because the virus is still there and continue to mutate

even though nag alert level 1 na tayo, Government should always pa din paalalahanan ang mga kapwa filipino na mag ingat dahil may banta pa din ng COVID, also kung lahat papasok na sana masolusyunan na yun Traffic
