MANILA – Dumaguete City in the province of Negros Oriental was hailed as one of the seven best places to retire around the world.

The survey was based on 2014 retiree overseas index.
The cost of living in Dumaguete City is fairly low. Moreover, the “City of Gentle People” also boasts of good weather given that storms rarely pass their area.

Other cities that made the list include Algarve in Portugal, George Town in Malaysia, and Chiang Mai in Thailand.
