MANILA – Cesar Rosales’s families and friends recently gathered to remember the man they considered as a kind, caring and passionate person.

“He was very respected,” said his friend Leesa Garnet. “He was very good at his work and it hurts when Kelowna Flightcraft lost a very good employee. He’s a wonderful man and a very loving father. I’ll miss him so much and I know everyone will.”

Rosales transferred to Kelowna about two years ago to work as a business system analyst at Kelowna Flightcraft.

Unfortunately, he was randomly attacked inside a transit bus after a day at work. He was set to go back to Vancouver for his son’s birthday.

A flight ticket was found inside the bag he had with him on the night he died.

Pocholo, Rosales’s son, recalls his father’s love for adventure.

They would usually go zip-lining in the Okanagan, parasailing, skydiving, edge-walking, and doing the edge-walk at Toronto’s CN Tower.

“No matter how angry or sad we all get, sometimes it just doesn’t make sense,” said Pocholo.

He added, “But no matter what this world throws at us, I hope we all take from him the same sense of adventure and fearlessness that he embraced, and that in itself will be peace he deserves.”

The suspect, Tyler Jack Newton, was arrested by Kelowna police and was charged with second-degree murder. He is set to face the court again on November 20.
