VANCOUVER, BC, October 26, 2020  –  Vancouver Fashion Week celebrates the success of the live-streaming event that took place on Saturday October 24th at The Gaming Stadium in Richmond; showcasing designer Women’s and Men’s wear for the Spring/Summer 2021 Collections.

Check out our VFW designer highlights below:

FAUN Studio

Calgary-based designer, Marisa Clark, graduated from the London School of the Arts in 2016 and continued to expand her design repertoire, launching the ready-to-wear women’s clothing line, FAUN Studio, in 2018. Dedicated to promoting sustainable development in her late mother’s birth country of Vietnam, Clark has partnered with an ethically driven production facility Saigon to make high quality, timeless, fair trade fashion accessible to the Canadian market. “The SS/21 collection, titled Mountains and the Moon, was conceived at the beginning of the global pandemic. It represents my reflection on time and impermanence, as represented in the constant yet fleeting nature of the world around us.” – Marisa Clark

NAKED

NAKED is a Vancouver-based brand that designer Secil Turhan describes the brand being all about finding inner balance, acceptance and free expression. “We all have a tendency to focus on the lighter things as we conceal and label darker things as evil, however at some point we all have to accept ourselves. I want to help people express their deeper sides and suppressed sides through style with my brand.  always prioritize how the wearer will feel physically and emotionally in our pieces. NAKED is something loud but also makes sense to wear out in the real world, away from the runway.” – Secil Turhan
