Vlogger Lloyd Cafe Cadena passes away at 26
After years of bringing joy and laughter with his wacky expressions, memes, and candid life, his viewers are now painted with shock and tears after vlogger Lloyd Cafe Cadena passed away. He was 26.
Cadena or also referred to as Kween LC by his followers is known for dropping funny content on his page, which makes his account an all-fun-one-stop especially in this pandemic with gloom in the air. But in a surprising turn on Friday, September 4, his official Facebook page did not post another video that can elicit hearty laughter but an announcement from a “heavy heart and great sadness.”
“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved brother, Lloyd Cafe Cadena. May he be remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone,” the post read.
Aside from the confirmation, no other details were given including the cause of death upon posting.
“My family and I ask for your prayers, respect, and privacy during this time,” the post added.
It was just two weeks ago, August 16, when another Filipino vlogger Emman Nimedez known for covers and parodies, passed away in his battle with leukemia. Lloyd even bid goodbye to him through a post, thanking him for the memories.

Grief and condolences poured on social media, immediately making him trend on Twitter, with a lot of netizens mourning the passing of someone who made their days happy and be filled with laughter; not forgetting his iconic “Gusto mo ‘yun? Gusto ko ‘yon!”
COVID-19 positive
Two days after, his Facebook page posted an official statement, confirming that the late vlogger tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) a day before he passed away.
“Lloyd was confined in the hospital on September 1 due to high fever and dry cough. He was tested for COVID-19 on the same day which the result came out positive on September 3,” the statement read, adding that the family immediately isolated themselves after the swab test.
“His vitals were okay and had no complaints. On September 4, 5am he was seen by the staff unresponsive and pale looking. As informed by the doctor, he suffered a heart attack while asleep. He was cremated yesterday and his remains is in our house in Cavite in the meantime,” it further said.
The Cadena family then thanked the outpour of sympathy that the people have extended to them at this time.
Aside from his viewers, several celebrities also remembered Lloyd for the laughter and happiness that he had brought to their lives. International singer Mariah Carrey also extended her condolences, after her fan group in the Philippines remembered Lloyd, know to be one of her most avid fans.
