MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday welcomed 2,281 overseas Filipinos from Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Barbados, Germany, and the Netherlands who arrived on separate flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 1 and 2.

The repatriates were subjected to testing for Covid-19 upon their arrival, except for the seafarers from Barbados whose manning agency arranged their testing to be done at the quarantine facility by a private provider, the department said in a news release on Tuesday.

The DFA, together with its Philippine embassies and consulates around the world, continues to work with various national agencies in assisting Filipinos amid the Covid-19 crisis.
