Giorgia Guidicelli says she gained ‘real life sister’ after Sarah-Matteo wedding

Giorgia Guidicelli expressed her delight on gaining a “sister,” following her brother’s wedding,

As she welcomes Matteo’s wife, Sarah Geronimo, to their family, Giorgia posted two photos of them together in her Instagram account, along with a message to the country’s Popstar Princess, “One week ago today, I gained a real life sister. Welcome to the family, Mrs. Guidicelli!!!! We love you!!!”

The photos that Giorgia shared were the ones taken during her wedding last year in Cebu, where Sarah took on duties as her maid of honor.

The singer-actress even made a speech at the wedding reception where she expressed gratitude to Giorgia for the things she has done for her.

In the video shared by some fan accounts of Sarah’s supporters online, the “Tala” singer was heard telling her now sister-in-law, “I want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being kind to me, for treating me like a friend ever since Matt introduced us through a video call.”

“Thank you for not judging me, Giorgia. For being someone…” She faltered as she was suddenly overcome with emotion.

“Sorry, naman parang kasal ko ha (It’s not like it’s my wedding),” Sarah then said, eliciting laughter from the crowd.

She continued, “[Thank you] for being someone I can always turn to when things get rough with your nakababatang kuya (younger, older brother), and also for being patient with your nakababatang ate, kasi older po ako kay Giorgia (younger, older sister, because I’m older than Giorgia).”

Sarah and Matteo exchanged vows last February 20 in a private ceremony at the Victory Church in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, as per media reports.

The couple has been keeping a low-profile despite them both being well-known in the entertainment industry.

In his first Instagram post as Sarah’s husband, Matteo explained the reason behind this, saying they wanted to “keep everything as intimate as possible because of private matters.”

He then thanked their families, friends, and even netizens who have been their “source of inspiration, strength, and most importantly, of LOVE.”
