BI confirms ‘drug queen’ already left PH

MANILA — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday confirmed that Guia Gomez Castro, the alleged drug queen of Manila, has fled the country.

“As per travel records, she indeed recently left the country but with no derogatory records, hence she was allowed to depart,” BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said in a statement.

The BI spokesperson, however, refused to give further information on Castro’s departure.

“I am unable to disclose particulars of her travel records, unless ordered by the courts or a higher office,” Sandoval added.

Also on Wednesday, National Capital Region Police Office chief, Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar named Castro as mastermind in the recycling of seized illegal drugs by ‘ninja cops’.

Castro, former chairwoman of Barangay 484, Zone 48 in Sampaloc, Manila, was the same drug queen being referred to by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron Aquino, who he claimed as selling at least PHP13.6 million of shabu weekly in just two streets in Metro Manila.

Reports said Castro left the country on September 21 on board a Cebu Pacific flight bound for Bangkok, Thailand.
