Palparan restless in Bulacan
MANILA — During his first night in a cell he shared with the oldest detainee in the provincial jail, retired Army Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan claimed he only got two hours of sleep.
Yesterday was a different story as Palparan added that he now feels safe and secure inside the Bulacan Provincial Jail.
According to “The Butcher”, the reason why he was sleepless on his first night is because of his fear of hitmen from the New People’s Army (NPA).
He said that the NPA wanted him to be a “dead man walking.” This is the reason why he went into hiding.
Palparan added that he is still thankful for the detention because the jail is in good condition despite the number of inmates.
Palparan is charged with two counts of kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
It can be recalled that he allegedly abducted two students from the University of the Philippines in Bulacan on June 26, 2006.
