Vice Ganda confirms three-day absence from ‘It’s Showtime’ due to hospitalization
Forty-three-year-old Jose Marie Borja Viceral, better known as Vice Ganda, clarifies to his fans the reason for his absence from ABS-CBN noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” for the past three days, revealing hospitalization due to diarrhea and vomiting.
The comedian tweets last Wednesday, July 3 saying in a mix of English and Filipino, “Thank you very much to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of The Medical City for taking good care of me for 3 days.
You were so nice and open. God bless you guys! It’s time to go home!”
Both Ion Perez, Vice’s rumored boyfriend, and “It’s Showtime” co-host Ryan Bang were also spotted visiting the “Fantastica” star.
During the live telecast of his Kapamilya show last Saturday, June 29, Vice had already hinted that he had been feeling sick, but still had duties as a judge of talent competition “Idol Philippines,” with Regine Velasquez, Moira dela Torre, and James Reid joining him at the panel.
This is not the first time Vice has been public about encountering health issues, revealing in April 10, 2018 that he had to leave during the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of his show because of a scheduled CT scan. He shares, “I have to go to the hospital. Pray for me, okay?”
He also revealed experiencing stomach pain from kidney stones in 2015, which led to an operation.
