Filipino dance group VPeepz hit the dance floor really hard on Sunday, March 24 (US Time), leading to their advancement onto the next round of American dance competition, World of Dance.

Sporting their Baseball-inspired outfits during the competition’s The Duels, the young Pinoy dancers once again made their motherland proud in front of the international audience as they won over their competitor, Belgium’s Battle Droids, after they performed their dance routine, Tambourine.

Vpeepz, a group of Filipino dancers aged 11 to 16, drew ‘oohs and aahs’ from the enthusiastic audience, while the three judges — Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo — were undeniably impressed with their outstanding performance.

“First and foremost, your precision is literally dancing with one brain, everybody doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. Top-notch,” said Ne-Yo.

Wowed by how clean Vpeepz did every dance step, Jennifer said, “you guys were hitting it so hard and that’s what I look for too like can you keep up the intensity and you guys absolutely did.”

For Derek, the part that caught his attention the most in their performance is what he called the “robot burn.”

“You’re all like, ‘Oh you’re like this. No, no, don’t think so,'” he told the young dancers. Derek, however, pointed out some mishaps in their performance, specifically the point where a girl almost lost her balance when she raised her right leg over her head and turned it like a hand of a clock. Despite this, Derek told the Vpeepz, “But overall, y’all did your thing, y’all did.”

Ne-Yo also agreed to this, saying, “you guys kept going like it didn’t even happen and you get kudos for that because the show must go on no matter what happens.”

As a result, Vpeepz obtained an average score of 92.7, making them move into the competition’s The Cut next week. Their latest score is two points higher than the 90.3 they got  from their performance earlier this month where they showcased their dance routine to the song “How Low” by Ludacris.
