Korina Sanchez, Mar Roxas get twin babies blessed
About a month after they announced the birth of their twins baby girl Pilar and baby boy Pepe via surrogacy last February 21, Korina Sanchez and husband senatorial candidate Mar Roxas have decided to baptize their children by American parish priest Father Steve at their home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last Tuesday, March 19.
In an Instagram post of the occasion, Korina shares photos of the family captioned, “Today, Pepe and Pilar were blessed by Sacred Heart Church parish priest Father Steve. Didn’t want to wait on the baptism in the Philippines, so had a blessing ahead.” She followed the initial post with a selfie with her baby girl, saying, “Pilar wears an all-white dress with a bonnet.
Purity, happiness, positivity. God’s Love and Protection. Proud Mom.” For the third photo in the series of posts, Korina poses with family members explaining, “Aunt Rosanna Fores and cousin Jose flew in to visit. So, the twins had guests for their blessing.”
A few days before the twins were blessed, Korina also threw a party to celebrate their one month since birth. Carrying her two babies, she writes in a post, “Pepe and Pilar: Hello, everyall! Hangover from our 1st monthsary celebration! Our best fiesta partey! We had balloons, we had pizza, we had cake, we even had a guest! And of course, breastmilk. Thank you for all the gifts you sent all the way in Pittsburgh, we love them all! This is just the beginning of our #BestLife.
”
Korina said she “never thought [she’d] be one of the… mothers who celebrate everything about their kids,” she tells her 581,000 Instagram followers, but adds, “I’d like to greet my two heavenly blessing, my very own personal miracles, Pepe and Pilar, a happy, happy 1st monthsary,” stating in Filipino, “It’s just us, we’re having a birthday celebration here.”
