MANILA — San Juan looks to join Bataan on top of the Northern Division standings as it goes up against Navotas as the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Datu Cup makes a return trip to the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor on Tuesday night.

Both the Knights and the Clutch, who will face off in the first game at 7 p.m., were fresh from their respective wins on the road two weeks ago as they look to begin solidifying their playoff positions as the middle of the season draws near.

Navotas, currently in seventh place in the North, turned back Rizal in Antipolo on September 11 to barge into the .500 mark.

On the other hand, San Juan mauled Pasig the night later in Balangas to go up to 7-1, currently a half-game behind Bataan in first place in the North.

In the main game at 9 p.m., Bacoor City will try to get some more headway as it takes on sluggish Pasig.

The Strikers are currently tied with the Zamboanga Valientes and the GenSan Warriors in fifth place in the Southern Division at 4-4, but a win against the Pirates, who are dead last in the North at 1-7, will tie them with the Laguna Heroes in fourth place at 5-4.
