‘It will take time’—BB Gandanghari on family’s acceptance

MANILA – Even after his family’s acceptance of his new identity, BB Gandanghari said he believes that it will take time for them to fully understand him, especially his love life.

“Yung lovelife, hindi. Mongha ang peg, (Not the lovelife.

They want me to be a nun.),” he said in an interview for the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PeP.ph).

Though his thinks that his siblings will not yet be able to accept his love life, he clarified that he is currently not in a relationship.

“Wala, talagang wala. Kaya ko nasasabi yun, kasi if and when na dumating ang panahon na may gusto akong ipakilala, it’s not because na may gusto lang akong ipakilala. Siyempre, gusto kong makilala kung mabuting tao ba, but it’s still a work in progress,” he said.

(None, there is none. The reason why I said that is, when the time comes that I want to introduce someone, it’s not because I just want to introduce that person. Offcourse, I want to know if that’s a good person, but it’s still a work in progress,” he said.

I think [matatanggap nila], kasi what I’m experiencing from them is actually unconditional love. Dyusko, ‘yun pa ba ang magiging rason para maging conditional?

” he said.

(I think they will accept because what I’m experiencing from them is actually unconditional love. God! Will that be the reason for (their love) to be unconditional?)
