MANILA — The National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) on Friday announced new hotline numbers for the public to report criminal activities and police scalawags in Metro Manila.

The numbers, 0915-888-8181 (Globe) and 0999-901-8181 (Smart), are meant to provide a responsive hotline the public reporting the illegal activities of NCRPO personnel and to allow the public to report on drug personalities within the NCRPO’s area of responsibility.

On Wednesday, three Manila policemen, who allegedly pretended to be agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and extorted PHP300,000 from one of the five persons they earlier arrested, were nabbed.

The suspects, PO1 Radam Reyes Manglicmot, PO1 Edmar Dalusong Cayanan, and PO1 Jeff-Pee Macapagal Calaguas were arrested in a joint operation conducted by PDEA-NCR and the Manila Police District following the complaint of Mohammad Shahjahan Maid Haider.

Haider, together with PDEA-NCR, lodged a complaint for alleged robbery extortion amounting to PHP300,000 against the three policemen.

An entrapment operation was conducted inside the office of the Anti-Crime Unit of the Ermita Police.
