San Mig takes commanding 2-0 lead
MANILA — Three-feat seeking San Mig Coffee moved one game closer from clinching a finals slot after beating Talk ‘N Text, 93-85, on Saturday night in Game 2 of the PBA Governor’s Cup semifinals at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Mixers started the game with 32-13 behind Joe Devance’s 13 of his 19 points in the first quarter and San Mig took control of the game that gave them 2-0 lead.
Import Marqus Blakely also scored 19 points while Mark Barroca added 13 markers.
”It seemed like we were in control pretty much the whole game until the end of the three quarter but we were fighting the whole time coz we knew they’d gonna come back,” San Mig coach Tim Cone said.
TNT’s import Paul Harris had a game-high 33 points but got no enough local supports with Jason Castro as the only local in double-digit output with 12 points.
