MANILA – Malacañang remains grateful to the Filipino people for giving the administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte a ‘very good’ +58 net satisfaction rating.

The Social Weather Station (SWS) 2018 first quarter survey showed a 12-point decline from +70 in the same period last year.

“It is noteworthy to mention that the current government’s rating remains ‘excellent’ in Mindanao, the President’s bailiwick, and stay ‘very good’ in Balance Luzon and Visayas,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press statement.

According to the survey conducted from March 23 to 27, sixty-nine of adult Filipinos said they are satisfied with the performance of the Duterte administration.

On the other hand, only 11 percent of the adult respondents have expressed dissatisfaction and the remaining 18 percent were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.

Roque attributed the administration’s excellent rating in Mindanao to its efforts to help the victims Marawi siege and to rebuild the war-torn city.

He said building and maintenance of public works, promoting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers, fight against terrorism and protecting human rights received very good rating.

“Rest assured that the Duterte administration would continue to champion the interest of the greatest number of our countrymen, particularly in rebuilding our efforts in ensuring that no Filipino family will ever by hungry,” Roque said.
