While a lot may find joy in being glomped and pounced by a wet nose and a wagging tail, some are at the other side of the coin, cowering in fear at the sight of these furries. Bea Alonzo shares the struggle and the fulfillment of overcoming her fear of dogs.

“When I was six years old, I was trapped inside a dog house,” Bea started sharing in a lengthy Instagram post.

According to the actress, she was playing hide and seek with her cousins and eventually found herself hiding in a dog house.

“I was attacked by the dog (who had just given birth and was disturbed by the naughty little girl),” Bea wrote referring to her younger self.

“That incident made me fear dogs for the past 24 years,” she added.
