Height no longer a requirement for police aspirants
MANILA — Height is no longer a requirement for those who want to be policemen, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) announced on Friday.
Napolcom Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Rogelio T. Casurao said that for the Apr. 22, 2018 police examinations, the only requirements for an applicant in the Philippine National Police (PNP) is that he or she must be a Filipino citizen with a Bachelor’s degree and must not be more than 30 years old.
Casurao also announced the opening of the “On-Line Examination Application Scheduling System (OLEASS)” in the websites www.napolcom.gov.ph or www.napolcom-oleass.com for the nationwide PNP Entrance and Promotional Examinations.
The online application schedule will be from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, 2018 for the PNP Entrance Exam; Feb. 5-9, 2018 for the Police Officer (PO) Exam; and Feb. 12-16, 2018 for the Senior Police Officer (SPO), Inspector (Insp.) and Superintendent (Supt.) Exams.
The applicants must reserve their online appointment on these dates, depending on which exam they are applying for, to secure a slot in the nationwide entrance and promotional exams.
Casurao said the OLEASS is only one of the new innovations to make the application for policeman easier.
The examination fees are PHP400 for the PNP Entrance and PO exams; PHP450 for the SPO exam; PHP500 for the Police Insp. exam; and PHP600 for Police Supt. Exam.
