Aileen Lizada resigns as LTFRB spokesperson, remains as board member
Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) spokesperson Aileen Lizada announced on Friday that she has vacated her post.
In a Viber message to reporters, Lizada requested the media to direct questions to LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III starting Friday.
“Good noon po sa inyong lahat (to everyone) from now on, please direct all questions po to Chairman. It has been my privilege and honor to work with all of you,” she said.
Her announcement came a day after the board announced that it will set the maximum number of cars operating ride-hailing applications like Uber and Grab at 45,700.
When asked by reporters why she left her post, Lizada did not disclose any details on the matter.
According to an ABS-CBN report, Lizada quits as spokesperson but will stay on as a board member of the regulatory agency.
Lizada was appointed board member in July 2016, replacing Atty. Ariel Inton.
Before moving to the LTFRB, Lizada had worked 12 years in the Office of the Ombudsman in Mindanao. She hails from Davao City.
