134 words of love: From Chito to Neri
12. 13. 14. December 13, 2014. With these consecutive numbers, this day seems to be carefully picked for a wedding day. Three years after, it remains to be memorable and a certain Chito Miranda chooses to be nostalgic through a 134-word-post.
On their third wedding anniversary, Chito yet again amazes the social media crowd as he posts a special message for his wife, Neri Naig-Miranda.
The Parokya ni Edgar vocalist is not only gifted in sewing words and lyrics for the songs he writes, but also for sweet nothings he specially crafted for his wife.
“Eto ‘yung araw na naging akin ka na (This was the day that you became mine) forever. Wala ka nang choice kasi pumirma ka na (You do not have any choice since you already afflicted your signature) hahaha!” he started lightheartedly.
Chito expressed joy on his three wonderful years with Neri, and looks forward to more years with her until their skins wrinkle and their hair strands turn gray.
“Aalagaan, aalalayan, papatawanin, gagabayan, susuportahan, poprotektahan, at mamahalin kita hanggang sa dulo ng mga buhay natin (I will take care of you, assist you, make you laugh, guide you, protect you, and love you until the end of our lives),” he wrote.
He also said that sharing a family with Neri and now their son Miggy, is a really wonderful feeling.
“There is this constant feeling of being loved by the person that I love, giving me a warm sense of comfort of being home,” he included in his message.
Though known for writing iconic song lyrics, he even apologized for not being an expert in writing long captions and being unable to express himself further.
“Basta, thank you, Mrs. Miranda. Mahal na mahal kita (I love you so much),” he ended.
This was not the first time for Chito to write a special message for his wife. Most of his messages have touched the hearts of netizens and caused these posts to be viral.
What makes the people’s hearts’ swoon is that in spite of Chito saying that he was not used to writing these, he has in fact written many and not only on special occasions but even on normal days spent with Neri.
