Tail-end of cold front, northeast monsoon to bring rains Friday

(Pixabay photo)MANILA— Some parts of the country will experience rains Friday as the northeast monsoon affects northern and central Luzon and a tail-end of a cold front over southern Luzon, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 24-hour weather forecast, PAGASA said the provinces of Aurora and Marinduque, the regions of Calabarzon and Bicol and Eastern Visayas will have scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought by the tail-end of a cold front.
PAGASA also said the regions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, and Cordillera and the rest of central Luzon will have light rains due to the northeast monsoon. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rainshowers.
PAGASA also advised fishing boats and small seacraft against going out to sea as the seaboards of northern Luzon, as well as the eastern seaboard of central and southern Luzon, will be rough to very rough due to strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of the northeast monsoon.
