Use retraining time productively, ‘Bato’ tells Caloocan cops
MANILA — Use the retraining period to become better and more effective police officers.
This was emphasized by PNP Director General Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa to the estimated 1,000 officers and enlisted personnel of the Caloocan City Police Station who were earlier ordered relieved following the involvement of some of its personnel in controversial cases such as killings and unauthorized anti-drug operations.
He gave this advice to the officers at National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City where these policemen will undergo a 45-day retraining period.
The PNP chief told the police officers to use the retraining period productively to become better law enforcers.
The Caloocan City Police was criticized for the past weeks following the involvement of some of its personnel in the killing of Kian Loyd Delos Santos, Carl Angelo Arnaiz and Reynaldo De Guzman and an unauthorized anti-narcotics operation where several police officers were allegedly seen taking valuables from the raided home.
