4 nabbed in anti-drug ops in Region 9

ZAMBOANGA CITY— The police have arrested four drug suspects as the anti-illegal drug campaign continues in Region 9, an official said Saturday.

The campaign is in line with President Roderigo Duterte’s declaration of war against drugs in the country.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office (PRO-9) information officer, identified the drug personalities as Gerry Boy Miranda, 28; Ace Tablon, 37; Albert Tan, 34, and Rolly Cinco, 37.

They were arrested Friday in separate anti-illegal drug operations in different parts of Region 9.

Galvez said Miranda was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

Tablon and Tan were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Barangays Divisoria and Tulungatung, respectively, in this city.
Cinco was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 in Monching, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Galvez said the arresting officers confiscated from the suspects packs of suspected shabu, marked money and illegal drug paraphernalia.
