Explosion kills 6 in Colombia shipyard

At least six people died and 23 others were injured in an explosion on Wednesday at a shipyard in Colombia’s northern city of Cartagena, authorities announced. (Photo by Shadowxfox (Own work) [CC BY-SA 3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)])
The explosion took place on a tanker at the shipyard of Cotecmar, a state-owned facility. Three people were killed on site and three others died in hospital.
The injured, mostly burn victims, have been taken to medical centers for treatment. One firefighter was among the injured.
Cotecmar President Jorge Enrique Carreno told reporters that the explosion happened on a ship that was under maintenance.
