Heart Evangelista holds her first solo exhbit

Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista, or Love Marie Ongpauco in real life, had her first solo art exhibit dubbed “I am Love Marie: The Art and Works of Love Marie Ongpauco” on May 8 at Ayala Museum’s Artist Space.

Celebrities, politicians, and businessmen graced the event.

Heart’s boyfriend, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero was present to support the 29-year-old actress-artist.

Fernando Zobel de Ayala cut the ceremonial ribbon with the couple.

Star-studded event

Susan Roces and her daughter Sen. Grace Poe-Llamanzares were the guest of honors.

Escudero’s fellow senators including Loren Legarda, Teofisto Guingona III, Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, and Cynthia Villar with husband Manny Villar were all in attendance.

Kapuso stars Lovi Poe, Rhian Ramos, Solenn Heussaff, Bianca King, and Carla Abellana also attended the event to support their friend.

In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Lovi said, “Full support kami kay Heart. She’s always been a gifted artist. When we hang out, she often paints or doodles. I am proud and happy for her that she now gets to show everyone her hidden talent. People are now seeing the other side of Heart.”

On its opening night, Heart sold 19 paintings. The exhibit will run until May 22.
